Personal Information

What do you do here at Saint Mark?
I have responsibility for managing the overall music ministry and developing new programs that help our members grow in faith through music. This includes direct involvement and oversight in planning Sunday morning worship and special services with our Senior Pastor and staff.

When did you begin working at Saint Mark?
I began my ministry with Saint Mark in August 2005.

What was your first job?
Early jobs included picking and sorting tomatoes about age 10….I remember we were in the fields early before the sun was unbearably hot with 100,000 plants. My first church job I was 12 years old at Ironton Presbyterian Church, Iron Station, NC.

What was your childhood ambition?
To emulate my Dad! I knew from childhood I wanted to pursue music as a career.

Who inspires you?
Two men have inspired me to pursue excellence and discipline in my personal and professional pursuits; my Dad who taught by example and Harvey Woodruff who was my first voice teacher.

Favorite Bible story, verse or passage?
Mantra: Excellence in all things and all things to God’s glory.

1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Psalm 33:1-3
Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the LORD with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.
