Please, all parents help us out by labeling your child’s items. We have a hard time distinguishing items if we do not have a name on them. This will also help keep children from putting cups and things in their mouths that are not theirs and ensure that your child’s items will come home with you. Along with this, it is a DSS requirement, so thank you again for your help in this matter!!
As the weather is cooler, please make sure that your child’s extra clothes are weather appropriate. Make sure you still supply a light jacket as the children will try to get outside for fresh air as much as permitted by the weather.
In the condition of inclement weather, the CDC follows the Oconee County School District in regards to closings and delays. Please check WYFF 4 for closings if the weather is questionable to find out if we will be open.
THE CDC IS ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR WIPES, KLEENEX, CLOROX WIPES, PAPER TOWELS, CRAYONS, MARKERS, USED TOYS IN GOOD CONDITION. ALL DONATIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AND DEFINITELY WELL USED. YOU MAY DROP THEM OFF IN THE CDC OFFICE ANY TIME.
Please note that we are trying to help everyone stay as healthy as possible. If you notice your child running a fever or feeling run down, it is advised that you keep them out the next day. If your child runs a fever of 101 degrees, we will have to send them home. THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COME BACK UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN FEVER FREE, WITHOUT THE AID OF MEDICINE, FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS! IF WE HAVE TO SEND YOUR CHILD HOME FOR VOMITING OR DIARRHEA, THEY MUST ALSO STAY HOME FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST EPISODE SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE WE ARE NOT SPREADING GERMS TO OTHER CHILDREN OR STAFF MEMBERS.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT MEDICINE IN SIPPIE CUPS AND BOTTLES. IF IT GOT IN THE WRONG HANDS, IT COULD HURT ANOTHER CHILD.
